Workshops

I have LOVED teaching workshops over these past 2 1.2 years.  I have met some of the most amazing people who have become some of my closest friends.  I have built a community of girls who help and encourage each other and it just makes my heart so happy.  I have watched these girls soar and flourish.  Knowing that I have had a little part in this, is one of the greatest joys in my career.  However, workshops do take a toll on a person and I’ve decided to cut way back on the workshop schedule so I can get back to my first love of shooting weddings.  So, in 2014, JPP has decided to offer a few different types of workshops to help photographers of all levels.  Please read the descriptions for each workshop below.  Also note that pricing is different for each workshop as well.  To register for workshops, a $500 fee is due but is deducted from the final payment.  And a Big Thanks to Kayla at Capture for the awesome picture above!

Who can attend:  (this is for the REAL Wedding Workshops and Regular Wedding Workshops)

This is not a beginner workshop. This workshop is for those who are ready to step into wedding photography or for those already in the wedding business but need a boost!   I feel very strongly that you must have a strong foundation in photography before branching out into wedding photography.  So, you can’t be a “new” photographer but you can be new in wedding photography.  You will also need a website or blogsite and be familiar with lightroom and photoshop.

REAL WEDDING WORKSHOPS

We are so excited to offer a few REAL wedding workshops for 2014!  I have offered these types of workshops for the past 2 years and they are amazing! These workshops will begin with a welcome dinner on Day 1 at 5pm, Day 2 will consist of the wedding day where you will get to watch me shoot live a REAL wedding!  You will also be able to shoot along and use these images in your portfolio.  Day 3 will be the lecture day and will consist of all things weddings.  From branding, marketing, client care, workflow, editing and being published.  Everything about weddings will be covered!  Then we will end the day with a “day after” session with our bride and groom!

COST:  The price for our REAL weddings workshops is $1950 and only 5 photographers will be able to attend.  These are very limited, in fact, one of them only has 1 spot left!  So, don’t delay!  All meals during the workshop will be provided.  You will be placed in a private group to discuss lodging.  We are hoping to add a few more for 2014 but here are the dates and locations so far!

July 17-19th – REAL wedding workshop, Fiddle Lake Farm, Thompson, PA (SOLD OUT)

August 23-25th – REAL wedding workshop, The Trivium, Lynchburg, VA (SOLD OUT)

August 28-30th – REAL wedding workshop, Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, Denver, CO (SOLD OUT)

JPP will also be traveling back to AUSTRALIA  in 2014 as well!!!  I will be offering a 2 Day Wedding workshop in Melbourne and Sydney.  We will cover marketing, branding, posing, client relations, sales, reaching the right clients, workflow and editing.  We will finish each day with a shoot so you can see me in action and I will instruct in posing, camera settings, finding the light, etc.  All workshops include snacks and meals during the actual workshop time as well as an awesome goody bag.:) Please note the prices per workshop.  Exact locations TBA.  Please note that we must reach 5 in attendance to hold the workshop.

Australia Workshops

Sept. 11-12th – Sydney (Wedding) $1800

General Info

Each workshop (except the REAL wedding And Slumber Party Nashville workshops) are limited to 8-10 attendees.  As you can see, we have majorly cut back on our workshop schedule by doing some at home and scheduling workshops around our wedding travels so we can better serve you and our wedding clients.  We have already put so much into the preparation for the upcoming workshops.  This will truly be an experience where you will feel special, pampered and important.  This is all about YOU and I hope you will join us!  I can’t wait to meet you!

All workshops are subject to attendee approval. All workshops must reach at least 5 in attendance 90 days prior or the workshop will be canceled and all monies paid will be refunded.  Final payment for workshop is due 60 days before workshop.  To attend a workshop you must know how to use your camera in manual mode and have a basic understanding of Lightroom and Photoshop.  You also need to have a website or blogsite and be a set up as a legal business.

Due to the nature of workshops, NO money will be refunded (unless canceled by JPP) but can transferred.

To register, Click here and make sure you select the workshop you would like to attend!

PS:  Here are some blog links to just a few of the girls who have attended my workshops and have shared their experience!  And, if you google JPP workshops, you will find a lot more!:) Makes my heart so happy, happy and worth any heartache at all!!
